Hanging out with friends improves mental health! – Hence Proved!

Being a doctor is indeed the toughest job in the world (of course not tougher than being a mom!). Juggling roles of a doctor, a teacher, a student and at times a career man can be absolutely exhausting. While fulfilling these roles, it is extremely important to take time out to meet friends and give yourself some unwinding time. Meet over coffee or spend time together in a salon. Understanding how can friends influence you positively is the key here. Laughing over silly matters, sharing your joys and sorrows with them, will make you a better doctor, a better partner, a better man!

HOW CAN FRIENDS INFLUENCE YOU POSITIVELY?

IMPACT ON SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR –

Spending time with friends increases your serotonin and oxytocin, the bonding hormone. This is essential for your overall well-being.

IMPACT ON HEALTH –

Spending time with your friends reduces the risk of disease. It lowers blood pressure, heart rate, and cholesterol.

IMPACT ON LONGEVITY –

People who have friends are bound to live a longer life. Friends increase your longevity by at least 60%

IMPACT ON QUALITY OF LIFE –

Friends help us live better lives. A number of men and women have had less physical impairment in later ages. This is because they lead joyful lives with their gang of girls and boys!

IMPACT ON YOUR HOME –

Sharing small pieces of happiness, allows you to be happy at home. You are more independent, happy and responsible yet carefree at the same time. You are a happier doctor which also positively affects your patient’s happiness. Happy doctor, happy patient & a happy world.

The absence of friends in a man or woman’s life is as harmful to his/her health as is smoking or being overweight. It impacts your physical and mental health. So go all out, and hang out with your besties. Live life King Size!
