Practice Self-Blessing

The young boy used to walk around behind his grandfather all morning watching him do things around the house, in his Puja room, in the orchard and in the river where he went for his bath.

The boy watched him go into the river from the shore and used to shout out loud asking him questions about the depth, the strength of the stream, the leaves floating by or the boatmen around. He noticed that his grandfather used to always pick up some water in his cupped hands, show the water to the sun and mumble something. Then he would pour it upon himself and start his bath.

After a few days of seeing that he could not control himself and he asked his grandfather about it. The grandfather explained by first asking him if he, the boy, received the grandfather’s blessings after he finished his Puja? The boy answered affirmatively. Then the grandfather explained that he was doing the same thing for himself first. Blessing himself with the power of the sun so that all day long he could bless others and do good for others with the sun’s intensity within him.

That would allow him to influence everyone’s souls positively and keep everyone happy and contented.

Your every thought and word are a blessing for who you are and what you do.

He explained to the boy that we have all invoked blessings and experienced its power. By itself, a blessing doesn’t create miracles in our situations. It first creates a miracle in our mind, by shifting our mind to a high-vibrational frequency. And then our mind which has just become powerful, comes out into action.

If you’re radiating low energy vibrations to your relationships, health, career, or behaviors, check and shift them to a blessing.

He explained that we don’t realize that we are actually qualified to bless ourselves (and others). Our every thought and word for ourselves can either be a blessing or the opposite of blessing. He told the boy to bless himself everyday in the river before opening his books.

Blessing elevates the energy of your mind, then your mind comes into action to manifest reality.

He also said that the boy could check and shift any low-vibration thought and word about the self in his inner and outer conversations, into a blessing. He had to remind himself, “I bless myself. I radiate the energy of the reality I want. My thought and word are a blessing for who I am and what I do.

The boy sits in his office in a city and wonders how much of those blessings to own self has counted, for he is at the zenith of his profession now and having a family that he is able to care and provide for.
